Meanwhile, a young man named Advait Thakur, portrayed by the charismatic Aditya Roy Kapur, is released from jail after serving five years for a brutal fight that ended with the death of a fellow convict. Immediately upon his release, Advait calls Agashe and cryptically wishes him a "Happy Solstice" while hinting at an upcoming murder of a police officer.

Intrigued and disturbed by the call, Agashe's colleague and friend, Michael Rodrigues (Kunal Khemu), a cop who follows the rules, finds himself entangled in a web of mystery and danger. Michael's personal life crumbles as he discovers his wife Teresa (Amruta Khanvilkar) is having an affair with another man.
