Cast and characters
Salman Khan plays Bhaijaan, a self-defense trainer who decides to change his violent ways for his girlfriend Bhagyalakshmi (played by Pooja Hegde). Venkatesh plays Gundamaneni Balakrishna alias 'Rowdy Anna', Bhagya's elder brother. Bhumika Chawla plays Balakrishna's wife and Bhagya's sister-in-law, Gundamaneni Anandini. Jagapathi Babu plays Kodati Nageshwar, Rameshwara's son. Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill and Siddharth Nigam play Bhaijaan's brothers Ishq, Moh, and Love respectively. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Veeram (2014), which was directed by Siva and starred Ajith Kumar in the lead role. Initially, Samji had planned to remake the film as Bachchhan Paandey with Akshay Kumar in the lead, but later changed the script to be the remake of another Tamil film, Jigarthanda. However, when he pitched the story to Salman Khan, he suggested making a remake of Veeram instead. The film was announced on 10 January 2020 with the title Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, but was later renamed as Bhaijaan and finally as Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The film suffered numerous delays in pre-production due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but was eventually completed and released on 21 April 2023.

Writing for The Indian Express, Shubhra Gupta praised Khan's performance but criticized the film's lack of originality, writing "Salman Khan does everything he needs to do in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan – he flexes his biceps, he delivers punchlines, he smirks and he grins. But it's all become so predictable and been-there-seen-that that it's hard to summon up any real excitement." Sukanya Verma of Rediff.com gave the film a negative review, calling it "an outdated, done-to-death story of heroism, family, and love with forced humour and excessive drama." However, some reviewers appreciated the action sequences and the chemistry between the lead actors.
